Flicka Search Continues

As I posted on my Facebook Page ... Sunday, March 2, 2014

Flicka search update. Wish I had good news that she has been found, however a lot of searching, talking, walking thru fresh snow fields, analyzing paw prints in the snow, asking her 1/2 brother Harley to move thru snow, go up hills of snow (to compare tracks), all in an effort to figure out her paths and where she could hide out, find food, make animal friends, and keep warm. Pictured is just one barn we checked out. A good warm place to stay! A night motion sensor has been relocated. Thanks to Susan, Anne & hubby 'muffin', Michelle, Karin, Peter and bud Piper, and Marylou with Harley for their efforts today.

The weather needs to be more co-operative!  This long COLD snap, and a few terrible snow days and then a big thaw/rain, hasn't made getting into areas, driving the roads, any easier.

PLS share this link with all your friends and family, as you just don't know who knows who that might be in the area and spot this, dark sable sheltie.  Thanks.

In the meantime, enjoy this inspirational video, and believe!

STILL MISSING!!! LOST SHELTIE - FLICKA - LOW, QUEBEC

STILL MISSING!

SEARCHES CONTINUE ON AN ONGOING BASIS.  THE COLD, WIND AND SNOWY CONDITIONS HAVE HAMPERED A LOT AND GIVEN THE TERRAIN OF FARMS/FIELDS/BUSH IT IS EVEN HARDER.

PLS CONTINUE TO SHARE! SPREADING THE WORD.

On Jan 19 2014 one of our sheltie owners lost her life in a car accident near Low, Quebec on Hwy 105.

Flicka fled the scene, police did some searching but couldn't find her.  There have been some flyers & searching by family members to this point.

Here are some recent pics I've received from a family member.  We need some sightings to try and capture her!  She may hunker down with it being SO cold right now; watch for tracks in the snow, and even brown fur on low bushes .... all signs can help follow her.
here is a picture of her being shown to her Canadian Championship.

PLEASE PASS this blog post onto any and all of your friends.  You just don't know who knows who!!!
If you're on Facebook, she's on my page, and also Ottawa and Valley Lost Pet's Network.

I have done a word & pdf file poster if you are willing to put any up I can send you the file

WALKING, TALKING, SPREADING THE INFO TO EVERYONE CAN HELP BRING THIS GIRL HOME TO HER EXTENDED FAMILY IN THEIR TIME OF NEED.

IF SPOTTED DO NOT CHASE - EITHER CALL 613-283-7393, OR GET DOWN LOW TO THE GROUND, AVOID DIRECT EYE CONTACT, AND BEST EXPLANATION, PRETEND YOU'RE HAVING A TEA PARTY!

Helping Out - Missing In Richmond, Ontario

The more people know, the more help & eyes out there, to bring Molly home.

Molly now has her own facebook page called Missing/Lost Bernese Mountain Dog - MOLLY. So please search and join to keep abreast of what's happening.

By what the owner has written, she was dognapped from their backyard. She's gone missing from the Richmond Rd/Eagleson area of Richmond, Ontario. This town is in the City of Ottawa, near Kanata, Stittsville, Manotick, North Gower, even Carleton Place to the north west. Reports of sightings have been in the Bruce Pit area where she has been walked before and also the Hwy 7 & Upper Dwyer Hill Rd area.
True or not, there is suspect that a man in a white mini van has been dognapping in the area, so please use caution and don't leave your dog's unattended.
