Yet To Be Named

In between what was a busy weekend (more to Blog when I can find the time), Marylou and I were able to catch a few pics of my fav boy before the sun went down, from our Sibelle litter sired by our Rush. We have yet to give him a name. Any suggestions? Preferrably not a human name either.

At 8 wks I think he's got promise.

Maureen,

After seeing the beautiful Maggie, the first word that came into my mind for the "Yet to be named" pup was Dynamo. I know that this usually refers to an energetic person but Shelties do possess that character trait.

Neat name Pierre ... unless there is some super star that's used Dynamo to name their kid, it would work for a dog here. This guy is also a water baby, already chasing the hose!

He's so squeezably cute, how do you stand to be around so many puppies all that time?! In this heat I can't think of anything more creative than Dynamo -- which seems to lend itself to a show name. Just curious as to why you didn't what a human name? The first thing I thought of was Teddy as in 'Teddy Bear'. LOL. Not original, I know, but I'm blaming it on the heat.

Guess it's a bit of being different & creative & it's harder :); plus one tends to put human qualities more on a dog with a human name. I'm also not fancy if a person says 'oh my aunt, uncle, friend etc is named that!' Teddy Bear would work, or just Bear. We also try to make their names 1 or 2 syllables, and not sound like any dog we have at present.

Try working with something that goes with the lineage - Shelamo Sugar Shack (Maple), Shelamo Sugar Rush (Rush).

Okay, I gave this a try. I'm Irish so the first three are gaelic words.

Shelamo Sugar Lach (Irish for sweet – as in good-natured – a play on the meaning of sugar…)

Shelamo Sugar Milsean (sweet as in candy)

Shelamo Sugar Binn (sweet as in musical -- kind of appropriate for a sheltie. LOL)

Shelamo Sugar Delight
